Months of entry
Ignite is a five and a half day, intensive open programme offered by the Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning at Cambridge Judge Business School, University of Cambridge. It aims to fast-track technology innovations to commercial readiness. The programme is comprised of a blend of practical teaching sessions, one-to-one and group clinics, mentors’ sessions and expert advice from leading entrepreneurs and innovators that will give you the tools, contacts and confidence to transform your idea or innovation into a successful business project or venture. As a delegate, you will be able to trial and prepare business ideas for the commercial arena within a safe yet dynamic learning environment.
Ignite attracts a diverse range of projects which can be broadly categorised as being from the high-tech sector or life sciences sector. This includes disciplines such as aerospace technology, biosensors, medical devices, telecommunications, electrical engineering, pharmaceutical products, nanotechnology, environmental technology, agricultural and plant sciences and regenerative medicine.
The programme is aimed at:
1 Researchers and Managers from established organisations with business ideas for
- Diversification of products and markets
- An internal venture or a spin out from your company
- Determining the best business model and marketing strategy to commercialise a new idea
- Developing commercial proposals to the Company Board in order to secure resource and internal support for your team
2 Students, graduates or academics considering your own venture
3 Solo scientists or technologists seeking to commercialise a new product or service
4 Directors of existing young businesses that are seeking to commercialise a new product or service

The next Ignite programme takes place on an annual basis in July in Cambridge, UK. Attendance on the programme is based on a specific selection process. Applications for the next programme will open from November 2014.
