Course content

The department has a strong research orientation with sponsors including the MRC, Wellcome Trust and the British Heart Foundation. Facilities are good, especially for computing.

Department specialisms

Neurobiology; Cell Signalling; Membrane Transport; Mammalian Development Genetics; Foetal and Perinatal Physiology; Physiology of Thirst and Sodium Appetite.

Fees and funding

Any departmental studentships on offer are usually advertised in January or February for admission in October of the same year.
