Entry requirements

1. Academic performance in a research Master's degree that is equivalent to the standards expected of our research MPhil students who continue to PhD registration: a grade equivalent to 70% average and 70% in their dissertation. The Master's should be specifically designed to prepare students for a doctoral thesis in their chosen area of research. It should include assessed training in both qualitative and quantitative research methods. Note: an MBA, MFin or other professional practice masters does not qualify. 2. An undergraduate GPA of at least 3.7. 3. GRE test. 4. Interview with Faculty members in the relevant subject group.

Course content

The first year of the PhD course is probationary. In order to continue to the second year of the PhD, students are required to pass:
the core course "Advanced Research Methods", with a pass mark of 70%
the First Year Report, with a pass mark of 70%
There may occasionally be additional module requirements.
