By focussing upon the project management knowledge areas and project management processes, the course tackles project management problems using the latest research informed processes and advanced technology. The development of leadership and team building skills is a cornerstone of the course: students attend a bespoke residential workshop hosted by an internationally renowned management development company situated in the heart of the Lake District National Park.
The MSc Construction Project Management consists of nine modules of which some are compulsory. The modules are: Project Management; Risk Management; Health and Safety Management; Quality Management; Advanced Construction Technology; Leadership and Team Development; Research Methods, and Dissertation. Optional modules are: Project Appraisal and Cost Analysis; International Procurement; Resource and Expenditure Planning and Control. These modules apply to the full-time course. If studying part-time, you can take up to 4 modules per year for the Masters Programme. On completion you will be able to project manage effectively across any built environment sector.
