Course content

This programme will help you to gain valuable skills and knowledge related to finance and investment. The programme includes significant quantitative content, designed to fuse the knowledge and empirical skills needed for a successful career in finance and you will benefit from a wide range of facilities to aid your learning, including our state-of-the-art specialised trading information system terminal. The programme will aid your development into an effective professional or manager working in a finance and investment context, and will enable you to apply the latest thinking on finance and investment to the analysis of the key problems being experienced by the world's major businesses and financial institutions, develop a thorough understanding of finance and investment, both from a theoretical and applied perspective, use state-of-the-art IT software to engage in financial modelling, and then undertake your own postgraduate research work into a topic within the field of finance and investment that has interest and relevance to your future career.

In Semesters 1 and 2, you will learn about:

Financial Investment Analysis
Financial Econometrics
Quantitative Financial Modelling
Research Methods

In Semesters 2 and 3, you will complete a Master's dissertation.
