Entry requirements

Applicants admitted onto the course will hold an MB ChB. Applicants must be actively engaged in general practice and all will be interviewed. Interview procedures and decisions regarding applications will be conducted within the University's policies on equal opportunities and admissions. Particular attention will be paid to applicant's ability to benefit from the course.

Course content

This MSc programme aims to offer maximum flexibility to general practitioners who can only participate
in this type of work part-time. It fills a gap locally in higher education and its supportive and flexible approach should make it attractive to practitioners in the north of the region. It seeks to offer a mix of theoretical and practical skills appropriate to modern primary health
care delivery. The emphasis will be upon effective service provision, efficient delivery by practitioners who
are able to care for their patients and themselves.
