This is a two-year part-time course for those seeking to attain professional status as British Sign Language/English Interpreters. Designed to meet the Registration Requirements of the Independent Registration Panel for BSL/English Interpreters, this course will enable those currently practising to improve their skills and work towards nationally recognised professional and academic qualifications. The course focuses on interpreting skills development including level four British SignLanguage (BSL) tuition. The course programme centres on six two-day blocks a year, with accessible coaching and support structures available in the two centres where the programme is delivered. Students on this programme will benefit from high quality learning opportunities designed for people who wish to maintain their career while engaging in further development of their professional competence. This course is delivered jointly by the University of Central Lancashire and SLI Ltd.
