Entry requirements

You will be expected to be working in an educational setting and hold QTS for your sector. In some circumstances, we will consider entry if you hold a recognised and relevant British first degree or its equivalent at 2:2 level or above. We will also consider applications from individuals with alternative significant prior experience and/or professional training in education, and each applicant will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Course content

The MA Education and Religion in Society (RiS) is designed for practitioners working across a range of educational settings to help you to update both your subject knowledge in the area of religion and your awareness of key issues in education. This Masters programme will support your personal and professional development as a reflective practitioner so that you can better appreciate both the latest developments in pedagogy and educational theory and improve the breadth and/or depth of your subject knowledge in RiS. The MA also provides a significant focus on conducting research to help you become an adept researcher and to support and improve your practice whilst appreciating the limits of enquiry.
