Months of entry
The aim of this programme is to provide a framework which enables students to engage and critically evaluate contemporary thinking and its impact upon sexual health knowledge and practice. This new and exciting modular course is designed to meet the needs of the diverse changing workforce and is therefore suitable for a range of practitioners. Compulsory modules explore and evaluate the specific knowledge and skills required for the study of sexual health studies at master's level, evaluating underpinning philosophies and relationships which influence evidence-based practice, within sexual health and covering critical thinking, moral reasoning, professionalism and skills development. Optional modules are available to provide choice and flexibility enabling students to meet individual practice and professional needs. Students may be from a clinical or non clinical background and may be employed within the NHS or alternative organisations.
The course is composed of modules of learning that, where possible, allow for individual choice and flexibility in learning. The MSc Sexual Health Studies programme is delivered on a part-time basis divided into 9 modules. Students alternatively may choose to commence the postgraduate certificate or diploma and proceed to complete the MSc Sexual Health Studies programme at a later stage.
