General Practice
Entry requirements
Applicants admitted onto the course will hold an MB ChB. Applicants must be actively engaged in general practice within Primary Care and registered as a General Practitioner with the General Medical Council and all will be interviewed. Interview procedures and decisions regarding applications will be conducted within the University's policies on equal opportunities and admissions. Particular attention will be paid to applicants' ability to benefit from the course.

Course content
The MSc in General Practice is aimed at providing you with an understanding of managerial, clinical and educational issues that will develop general practice, and with the complementary skills required to contribute to and influence development and evaluation of general practice in the context of the current health and changing agenda. It seeks to offer a mix of theoretical and practical skills appropriate to an ever-changing primary health care agenda. The emphasis will be upon effective service provision, efficient delivery by practitioners who are able to care for patients and themselves.
