Our Obesity Management programme promotes evidence-based practice to help you deal with the complexities of obesity, whilst adopting a patient-centred approach.


The PGCert in Obesity Management promotes evidence-based practice using the latest scientific and clinical research.

Our course prepares you to deal with the complexity of an overweight and obese population. You'll learn to take a compassionate approach to supporting people requiring obesity care.

The PGCert will explore excess weight and the associated health issues in an overweight and obese population.

This programme enhances the skills and knowledge of those working in:

  • Primary care
  • Physiotherapists
  • Those involved in Sports and Exercise Science Medicine
  • Those engaged in Public Health (e.g. Sports Therapists, Sports Rehabilitators, Sports Scientists and Public Health practitioners).
