Course content

UCLan’s MA in Contemporary Practice with Children and Young People is jointly provided by the Schools of Social Work and Education and Social Science.

This postgraduate course is aimed at people working within the fields of caring for and educating children and young people and at ensuring best practice informed by international contexts, local expertise and research. Teaching on the Contemporary Practice with Children and Young People course takes place in the evening and is offered both full and part time and for which full attendance is required.

Students on the full MA will undertake the following:

Three compulsory modules

Two optional modules

Four compulsory modules (ED 4995 + a three-module Dissertation).
