Entry requirements

Students require a good honours degree (or equivalent) in a subject related to tourism, hospitality, business or service sector management. It would normally be expected that this degree be awarded at the level of lower second class or above. Other graduates who can demonstrate a commitment to the study of hospitality and tourism management or who have significant industrial background will also be considered for entry.

Course content

The programme has been designed to provide a high quality management education for existing managers and those with an appropriate undergraduate education who wish to aspire to a career in the dynamic area of international hospitality and tourism management. The emphasis throughout this programme is on the development of professional and managerial skills. The research element of the MSc comprises a supervised dissertation on a relevant topic. Enhancement activities throughout the programme will include academic skills development, external speakers, industry visits and may also include a residential learning event.
