Entry requirements

Minimum UK university upper second class honours degree or its equivalent in a discipline associated with Sport and Exercise Physiology and/or Biomechanics, or equivalent. In exceptional circumstances students with a relevant lower second class honours degree may be considered for entry. Students should have studied a substantial amount of sport and exercise physiology, biomechanics/technology and research methods during their undergraduate studies.

Course content

Postgraduate study of Sport and Exercise Science provides the scientific backup for optimising athletic performance, and provides a cornerstone of some health and wellness interventions. Sport and exercise scientists will have a broad technical knowledge, allied to an excellent applied skills base, and an underpinning knowledge of the core disciplines of Physiology, Biomechanics and Psychology. This innovative master's programme allows the application of these varied principles via both a research and practitioner based context, particularly focussed on the discipline areas of Physiology and Biomechanics.
