Entry requirements

A minimum of an upper second class honours degree of a UK university, or its equivalent in a discipline associated with Sport and Exercise Physiology/ Science, or equivalent. In exceptional circumstances, students with a relevant lower second class honours degree may be considered for entry. Students should have studied a substantial amouint of sport and exercise physiology, and research methods during their undergraduate studies.

Course content

Specialising in sport and exercise physiology provides the scientific backup for training and performance and health and wellness intervention. This innovative masters programme allows the application of physiological principles via both a research and practitioner-based context. You will develop your skills in both research and consultancy allied to an expert appreciation of advanced testing techniques. This course is targeted at students of sport and exercise sciences who wish to develop vocational skills in a truly applied context. It consists of a compulsory element outlining research methods, ethics and practices, advanced methodologies and a research project.
