Masters degree in a Counselling/Psychotherapy-related, or Psychological Trauma-related, discipline (with a grade of 60% or above for the research dissertation), plus experience as a therapeutic practitioner.

This is a practice-based research degree aimed at candidates who are:
- Counsellors and Psychotherapists who work in various contexts
- Psychological Trauma therapists who work in various contexts.
The DProf is designed to enable you to deepen your understanding of the ethical and philosophical dimensions of your work, and to reflect on the values informing your own practice and those of your organisation.
As a student on the DProf, you will be offered supervision and training in research methods, which will enable you to reflect critically and constructively on your own practice. As you pass through the stages of the doctoral portfolio, you will be able to explore the dynamic relationship between theory and practice as it develops through your chosen research project.
