Entry requirements

The criteria for entry on to the programme will be registration on the appropriate part of the NMC register for the chosen pathway. In addition, practitioners will have a minimum of one year's relevant post registration experience and support from a sponsoring trust. Applicants must also meet the following academic requirements: A first degree (minimum of second class honours) in a related subject, with evidence of continual professional development.

Course content

The programme is modular and flexible, allowing full-time study over one academic year or part-time study over two academic years.
The programme is 50% theory and 50% practice and is integrated across the duration of the course. The theoretical component is undertaken at the University and the practical component in a clinical setting, under the supervision of a qualified professional 'Mentor' from the chosen specialist pathway.
