Entry requirements

A degree or equivalent, which will normally be 2:1 or above. Candidates without a first degree but with exceptional professional experience and evidence of the ability to study at Master’s level will also be considered.

Course content

The role of educators are key to improving professional practice and in meeting the rapidly changing demands of service provision.

This interdisciplinary course will enable you to integrate and apply current educational theory and pedagogical research into unique practice settings.

This is a well-established course accredited by the Higher Education Academy (HEA) and validated by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). On successful completion of the Postgraduate Certificate you can apply to become a Fellow of the Academy or an NMC Stage 4 tutor. This recognition is highly sought after in higher education and worth seeking in your role as an educator.

There are progression opportunities on completion of the course to Postgraduate Diploma and Master of Education awards, or you can accredit your prior learning and complete a professional course of your own choosing, such as Advanced Practice or Professional Studies.
