Entry requirements

1st or 2nd class honours degree. Students with other qualifications may be admitted to the course via non-standard entry procedures. Selection is by interview with portfolio. Applications are welcome from people without the standard qualifications if they can demonstrate the skills and capacity necessary for academic study at postgraduate level.

Course content

We provide a creative and intensive programme that encourages breaking down the conventional barriers between arts disciplines. You'll locate your position within contemporary practice through self-directed study and modern, well-equipped facilities with abundant studio and exhibition space.

You'll have access to workshop and studio resources in all the visual arts, including printmaking, sculpture, photography and AV and IT suites. Thanks to our location in Carlisle, you'll have a central base to explore many centres of culture in Scotland and the North of England. You'll have everything you need to inspire and facilitate your practice, building up your skills to be the next big name in the art world!
