Course content

The University of Dundee is highly regarded internationally for its excellence in its biomedical and life sciences research. It is one of the few universities in the UK and the only one on Scotland where Medicine, Dentistry and Nursing are integrated in one College and this provides unique opportunities for clinicians and researchers to interact for mutual benefit.

The school also interfaces closely with the Dental Health Services Research Unit: DHSRU, which works closely with Population Health Sciences researchers in the Medical School. Our overall strategy is to deliver focussed research of the highest quality that is recognised nationally and internationally as excellent and which has positive and broad impacts. Dentistry research was awarded the top grade (grade 5 on a scale of 1-5) for its research in the 2001 Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) in the UK.
