The Master of Education programme is essential for all professionals who work in an educational setting and wish to enhance their professional learning and improve career progression prospects. Students can tailor the educational experience to suit their individual experience, needs and interests. The programme can be accessed entirely at a distance via the University virtual learning environment. There are both workplace based and non-workplace based routes through the programme.
The programme is the first in Scotland to be accredited by the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) and by successfully completing the programme participants can register for an IB Advanced Certificate in Teaching and Learning Research, the IB Certificate in Leadership Practice and IB Advanced Certificate in Leadership Research.
Entry to the programme is open to teachers and professionals with experience of working in educational settings who have a degree or equivalent and relevant experience
