Entry requirements

You should be enrolled for MLitt Study at the University of Dundee, and, in the instance of the number of applications for the module outweighing places available, should submit a piece of creative writing (no more than 1,000 words) to Kirsty Gunn or Jim Stewart no later than mid-July, before the beginning of the new academic year. In general, it is a good idea to contact the course convenors well in advance to discuss the module with them and how it might fit with, and be a development of your other areas of study.

Course content

Inspired teaching and quiet writing time on your own to create a postgraduate learning atmosphere that is both serious and fun, interesting, varied, and committed to giving you, the student, a real sense of creative output. It is taught in one introductory writing practice workshop, three "Wordcraft" and interdisciplinary seminars and workshops, and also three individual tutorials.
