The MSc Midwifery/Maternal and Infant Health is an exciting part-time distance learning programme designed to offer postgraduate education of midwives, obstetric nurses and other professionals working or interested in maternal and infant health in a range of clinical environments and geographical contexts.
It will meet the needs of both UK based and international nurses and midwives and offers awards at Certificate, Diploma and Master's level.
This programme is offered on a part-time basis and delivered through high quality online distance learning. This programme is invaluable for all those who want to develop excellence, improve health outcomes for women and infants, and share good practice. Although the Midwifery award is only available to registered or licensed midwives, the MSc Maternal and Infant Health is not limited to specific professionals and the modules will be shared with a range of health and social care professionals studying our other programmes.
A number of the modules are shared with a wide multidisciplinary student body undertaking the MSc Midwifery, MSc Maternal and Infant Health, MSc Nursing and the MSc Health Studies, as well as some of our other programmes. This enhances the student experience and makes the learning more appropriate to real practice environments which are rarely unidisciplinary.
