A good (at least a lower second class Honours degree or equivalent) first degree, in any subject which has enabled you to develop analytical skills.

The eight established Scottish Universities (Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Herriot-Watt, St. Andrews, Stirling, Aberdeen and Strathclyde) collaborate through the Scottish Graduate Programme to provide a high quality and thorough training in economics to graduate students and to instil in them all the skills necessary to become a modern professional economist.
Gaining this diploma can lead to entry onto the MSc Scottish Graduate Programme in Economics.
This Diploma programme is intended as a bridge between first degree and postgraduate study. It is designed particularly to help students with first degrees involving only limited specialisation in economics make the transition to studying economics at the postgraduate level.
