There are core taught modules, and a choice between an internship paper or dissertation, whilst the module options include sector specific business and management modules, as well specialist economics and legal modules. These allow for the development of in depth and specialist knowledge of business management, legal, economic and policy issues in the petroleum and related sectors of the world economy.

This flexibility allows the student to pursue their specific areas of interest through the specialised electives, whilst at the same time being provided with a theoretical underpinning via the core courses in business and management.
