Applicants with current registration as a health professional with an appropriate professional statutory regulatory body, and at least 2 years work experience, will also be considered. Successful completion of this PG Certificate Leadership in Dementia Care leads to either the PG Diploma or MSc Leadership in Dementia Care.

As a student of this Diploma, you can play a major part in delivering that quality care and raising awareness and understanding of this condition.
As a student of this programme, you will learn how to recognise key characteristics of Dementia and associate them within the context of your patient’s health and circumstances. Students will learn how to effectively support family members and carers, and gain confidence and knowledge to challenge inappropriate caring.
The focus throughout the programme is on person-centred dementia care with an aim for all Dementia care across the UK to be delivered with compassion, respect, sensitivity and understanding within a supportive, knowledgeable environment. The course is structured around studying Dementia itself, complemented with work-based learning. The opportunity to pursue the Dementia leadership Development package is also available.

We welcome applications from students whose first language is not English. To ensure such students benefit fully from postgraduate study, we require evidence of proficiency in English. Our usual entry requirements are as follows: IELTS: 7.0 (minimum 7.0 in all component); PTE: 68 (minimum 68 in all components).
