Course content

Our Postgraduate Diploma in Pharmacy Practice is designed to both enhance your career prospects and improve the standard of pharmaceutical practice in the community. The course gives you the qualifications you need to apply for band 7 posts and we teach you better clinical skills, improved drug knowledge and smarter, patient-focused care.

The degree is a part-time course so you can study while you are still in work. You will graduate with a broader set of clinical and professional skills that are directly applicable to your workplace practice.

You will develop your clinical skills and drug knowledge in a wide range of therapeutic areas, together with training in maximising patient safety, introducing change within the workplace, conducting simple research and teaching peers. All this learning is placed in the context of the national agenda for pharmacy and the wider NHS, so the training is as relevant and up-to-date as possible.
