Course content

During your studies in MA Politics you will have a diverse range of options to choose from, including, but by no means limited to, the study of public policy and management, media and society, international relations and security, political utopias, free speech and democracy, Europe and the world, modern diplomacy and the history of political thought.

You will be trained in advanced methods of social scientific inquiry. Employing these skills and techniques as well as your new or consolidated knowledge of politics, you will write a dissertation under the careful guidance of experienced research-active staff.

You will graduate with advanced knowledge, skills and techniques that will prepare you for a successful career in a wide variety of public and private sectors including politics, public service, journalism, accountancy, management, advertising, teaching, the civil service, the diplomatic service, European institutions, business, media, academia itself and many, many more.
