Entry requirements

An undergraduate degree with an excellent or very good classification (equivalent to first or upper second class honours in the UK), in one or more of the following areas: biological sciences, biomedical sciences; including medicine and veterinary medicine, sports science. If English is not your first language, you must have one of the following qualifications as evidence of your spoken and written English: - IELTS Academic: total 6.5 (at least 6.0 in each module) - TOEFL-iBT: total 92 (at least 20 in each module) - PTE(A): total 61 (at least 56 in each of the "Communicative Skills" sections; the 'Enabling Skills' sections are not considered) - CAE and CPE: total 176 (at least 169 in each module)

Course content

This online programme is designed to introduce students to all aspects of human anatomy. It will consist of 20 and 10 credit courses. Some courses draw on material currently used in the on-campus masters course and others are written specifically for this online programme.

Year 1

The Certificate in Human Anatomy requires the successful completion of the following courses:

  • Fundamental Human Anatomy 1 (20 credits)
  • Fundamental Human Anatomy 2 (20 credits)
  • Embryology (10 credits)
  • Neuroanatomy (10 credits)

Year 2

The Diploma in Human Anatomy requires the successful completion of the following courses:

  • Advanced Human Anatomy 1 (20 credits)
  • Advanced Human Anatomy 2 (20 credits)
  • Imaging (10 credits)
  • Histology (10 credits)
