Course content
The DClinDent in Oral Surgery is a three-year, full-time programme which enables students to develop, consolidate and enhance their range of academic and clinical competencies to enable independent and reflective practice at the standard of a specialist in Oral Surgery.
The programme aims to provide an understanding of applied clinical sciences, alongside current concepts in Oral Surgery, with an emphasis on practical experience in dentoalveolar surgery. Academic skills in clinical research and clinical governance will also be taught.
Successful completion of the DClinDent will stand students in good stead if considering applying to the Tri-Collegiate (England/Edinburgh/Glasgow) Specialty Membership Examination in Oral Surgery administered by the Royal College of Surgeons.
