Entry requirements

The minimum entry requirement is a UK 2:1 degree, or its international equivalent, in biotechnology, biochemistry, chemistry, medicine, molecular biology, pharmacology or related sciences. A background in physics or mathematics may also be considered.

Course content

Globally, the rate at which new drugs come to market has been falling. This online programme addresses this issue using new ideas in Systems Biology, which takes a holistic approach to drug development.

You will study how drug discovery relates to real-world health problems and the challenges in developing novel drugs. You will understand the science underlying emerging fields of drug discovery as well as its commercial aspects.
