Entry requirements

The programme is intended for graduate psychologists with a high degree result (distinction/first/high upper second) in Psychology (Honours) or those who have studied or worked in related disciplines who wish to pursue a research-oriented career within cognitive neuropsychology or a clinically oriented career in neuropsychology. In addition to the supporting documents requested on the application form, candidates are asked to submit a personal statement.

Course content

This MSc programme, based within Psychology, provides intensive training within the specialism of human cognitive neuropsychology and also allows the student to gain expertise in research within the field. The programme is closely integrated with the newly formed Human Cognitive Neuroscience research unit.

Teaching follows an integrated approach with courses on neuropsychology, cognitive psychology, clinical neuropsychology and brain imaging. The programme also provides training in generic research methods within psychology.
