Months of entry
Together with students in all disciplines across the School, social work research students undertake both required and optional research methods courses in first year prior to proceeding with their thesis. Each student has two supervisors with the possibility of the second supervisor from an outside discipline. There are regular group meetings between staff and students. These discussions are enriched by the presence of a number of overseas students; many of our home students are experienced professionals who study part time while working. With a high reputation for research and postgraduate study Social Work offers a congenial environment for postgraduates.
