The minimum entry requirement is a UK 2:1 honours degree, or its international equivalent in a relevant discipline, plus evidence of a community education background. Alternatively, you may be considered on the basis of employment or relevant educational experience. A disclosure check will also be required.

You will work through the theoretical frameworks that underpin this area of educational practice, and learn to deal with complex ethical and professional issues. Your learning experience includes a professional placement, which will give you the chance to apply your knowledge and methodologies, as well as the opportunity to forge vital links within the community education field.
Upon graduation, you will be considered to have met the standards required in Scotland for professional practice as a community educator.
