Our Graduate Diploma in Art History and Theory with English for Academic Purposes aims to help you improve your language skills, together with your art history and theory knowledge, prior to embarking on further postgraduate study. You are offered the opportunity to combine intensive study of English (with special emphasis on the skills needed for academic study) with two important areas of art history (you are able to choose two out of three of our most popular art history modules, focusing on Italian Renaissance art, modern European art, and contemporary art). Successful completion of the Graduate Diploma, at the required level, will normally qualify you for entry to an appropriate Masters-level course in our School of Philosophy and Art History.
Our International Academy offers some of the best routes for international students to enter higher education in the UK. Our innovative courses and programmes have proved very successful with international students and have also attracted home students because of the distinctive learning environment we offer.
Studying at university is exciting and rewarding, enabling you to study new and fascinating subjects in ways that may be different from those you have previously experienced. If you are an international student, you may find that the education system in the UK is slightly different from other countries and, sometimes, that the transition to the British system can be challenging. Our courses help you to settle in and adapt to life in the UK.
