Course content

The MSc in Accounting and Tax is a unique programme designed to offer students a high level academic understanding of contemporary developments in taxation policy and practice together with accounting both in the UK and in an international global context. In short, the aim is to give students the best possible preparation for a long and successful career in accounting and finance with a specialisation in taxation.

Alongside traditional accounting subjects the programme covers all aspects of taxation including policy development and implementation and practical operation of tax systems in the UK and overseas. The programme gives students an understanding of a broad range of topics on which they can choose to focus in greater depth when developing ideas for written assignments and later your Masters dissertation. The MSc in Accounting and Tax offers you the opportunity to specialise if you choose to do so early in your career.
