Normally a 2:1, preferably in English, although other subjects are considered.
Months of entry
MA students are an integral part of the flourishing writing culture within the Department, with extra-curricular writing workshops to develop work in progress, research seminars and visits from distinguished scholars and speakers.
Students are prepared for entry into the professions of writing, across a range of genres and opportunities are provided to publish work by introducing them to national and international publications, publishing and broadcast media professionals and Literary Agents and Editors.
Creative Writing as practice is studied alongside literature of the 20th and 21st centuries and in relation to other cultural products in different media – for example, the comparative development of creative writing and film.
