Applicants should normally possess a medical, dental, or nursing degree from an institution recognised by the University Court; or a recognised degree from another appropriate health profession. Applications will also be considered from individuals with other relevant degree qualifications (such as a BSc in a biomedical science), who are, or aspire to be, employed in the education of health professionals. Applicants should ideally work in a health professions environment, and for applicants to the MSc HPE (with Research), they must have access to a health professions environment where, subject to ethical approval, they may conduct empirical research.

Both channels provide plenty of opportunities to put theory into practice, alongside your peers and lecturers. We also offer an optional, non-assessed, residential activity for students who would like some real-world practise. It’s this collaborative, practical approach that enhances your learning and allows you to excel in the industry going forwards.
