Develop your critical thinking skills in order to enrich your practice as an Special Educational Needs (SEN) Coordinator on this government-approved course for part-time learners.
Gain the National Award for SEN Coordination (a statutory requirement for new SENCO s in post since 2009) on this government- approved course. You will be supported by highly experienced and research-active teaching staff who are attuned to the needs of part-time students. From content delivery to the way in which staff and students communicate, the course is designed to suit those who are currently working. Students come from a wide range of settings, from Early Years to Higher Education, and are encouraged to bring their own professional experiences into the learning environment.
This course starts in January with the majority of teaching being completed by the end of the summer term with the last assessment submission in October. The National Award for SEN Co-ordination is a statutory requirement for new SENCos to achieve within three years of appointment.
The course is open to new SENCos, aspiring SENCos - and experienced SENCos who may wish to update and review their thinking and practice.
This programme enables you to achieve a Postgraduate Certificate (60 Masters level credits), which you can also use towards gaining the MA in Inclusive Education.
