  • UK postgraduate diploma or equivalent in a subject cognate with computing.
  • EU and international students need IELTS 6.0 overall (no less than 5.5 in any band) or equivalent.

Course content

The MSc Computing (Master’s Stage Award) will enable you to obtain a comprehensive knowledge through independent research in the areas of information system design, development and management, IT project management, cyber security, and games design and development. You will develop further expertise and deeper insight into your field of study through project work and research.

We will equip you with the skills required for the creation of the lifelong learner, so you can set your own goals and identify resources for the purpose of learning. We’ll also help you to develop an ability to recognise and respond to opportunities for innovation.

Research skills are embedded through the Research Methods in Computing module and include the development of high-level communication, literacy, numeracy and problem-solving skills.
