Entry requirements

• you will need at least a 2.1 honours degree or equivalent. On successful completion of the MRes you can normally progress to a PhD • PhD: you will need a masters degree or equivalent, in a subject area relevant to the proposed research topic • we normally consider applications from candidates from different backgrounds who demonstrate appropriate research experience and achievement • EU and international students need IE LTS 6.5 overall (no less than 6.0 in writing and 5.5 in any other band) or equivalent

Course content

With over 50 academic staff the Business School is able to supervise across a broad range of topics. There are particular strengths in services marketing, human resources, consumer behaviour, international business, organisational behaviour and leadership.

We may also be able to offer you effective supervision for crossdisciplinary projects that link to computing, IT applications, accounting and finance, law, education and health.

As a research degree candidate, you are supported by a supervisory team with expertise in your subject and/or research approach. A research degree will open the door to work in full-time research or teaching, or provide a greater understanding of professional practice.
