Entry requirements

Applicants must have: A good quality relevant undergraduate degree (usually 2.2 or an equivalent qualification) from a recognised university or higher education institute. • Students who were educated in a language other than English should normally demonstrate an IELTS score of 6.5 (with a minimum of 5.5 in each skill) or equivalent in a secure English language test. Alternatively, students with an overall IELTS of 5 or 5.5 can study our pre-sessional English language programme prior to degree studies.

Course content

This programme provides you with the opportunity to study for two Master's awards within one year and gives you the experience of undertaking a work placement. Managing finance successfully in the dynamic and cross-cultural environments that modern organisations face, requires finance professionals to possess a strong grounding in finance theory and practice, well-developed analytical and critical thinking abilities and an international perspective on financial operations. This programme is ideal for those who wish to develop these skills and pursue careers in the global world of finance. Students will be taught to make competent financing, investment and risk management decisions, to suit an organisation’s objectives and circumstances.

Students on this programme have a unique opportunity to gain a MSc in Financial Management from the University of Greenwich and a MSc in Global Financial Management from ESCM School of Business and Management in Poitiers, France. They will also enhance their employability by undertaking a work placement.

On completion of the requirements of both institutions, students will be awarded two degrees. The entire programme is delivered in English and no knowledge of French is required.

Erasmus grant funding is available for scholarship schemes on this programmes, for a limited number of students. (Further details will be provided upon successful receipt of unconditional/or conditional offer on the programme).

The aims of the programme are:

  • To enable students become competent and thoughtful practitioners in financial management and the wider field of finance in a European and international context by studying in UK and France.
  • To provide an intellectually demanding academic programme of study which emphasises the ability to analyse, synthesise and evaluate key theoretical concepts and practical applications in financial management.
