An honours degree (at least 2:2 or above) or equivalent in any subject, or four years' industry experience in an executive role (to be assessed on individual basis).
Months of entry
This course is designed for those who wish to develop a critical understanding of the tourism and hospitality industry. Whether looking for further knowledge to support prior experience already gained, or for those who are keen to develop a greater awareness before beginning a career in tourism or hospitality - this course will provide a greater insight into management within the industry. The course will allow students to specialise in an area of interest or relevance. For example, students can specialise in: planning for tourism destinations; events management; or project management. For those who decide to specialise in tourism destinations they will have the opportunity to go on a residential field trip in Semester B. This will provide an invaluable experience as well as giving further knowledge and understanding of hospitality and tourism product development. Students also write a dissertation within their specialist area.

The continued growth of this industry has brought about an increasing need for flexible and skilled managers able to operate at a global, as well as national and local level. If English is not the first language, applicants will need IELTS 6.5, or 6.0 plus completion of the University's 4-week English course, or equivalent.
