Entry requirements

Equivalent to a UK second-class honours degree in computer science or a similar subject. Applicants with a second-class honours degree in another subject (combined with an appropriate level of computer literacy) can apply but will need to take foundation modules. We will also consider applicants who do not wholly meet these requirements, but who we consider to have enough experience and potential to meet to course requirements.

Course content

The course enables you to acquire the theoretical knowledge and practical skills for the design and implementation of distributed systems and networks. The course will prepare you to take up challenging jobs such as network system architect or security consultant or to pursue further research. Core modules are: distributed systems security; mobile multicast and multimedia networking.

Information for international students

If English is not the 1st language, a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent is required.
