Entry requirements

Equivalent to a UK second-class honours degree in computer science or a similar subject. Applicants with a second-class degree in another subject (combined with an appropriate level of computer literacy) can apply but may need to take foundation modules. We will also consider applicants who do not wholly meet these requirements but who we consider to have enough experience.

Course content

On this course the emphasis is the design and development of e-learning materials that can be used in a range of educational contexts. There is a focus on technology, software development, and on the technical issues. Students develop practical skills in, for example, Adobe (R) Flash (R). This is complemented with the necessary background in learning theory and instructional design. Core modules are: Principles and practice of e-learning design and development; multimedia specification, design and production. This course is also available for those whose first degree is not in computer science. Foundation module: Web scripting and content creation.

Information for international students

If English is not the first language a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent is required.
