Entry requirements

A degree marked at 60% or above in biosciences, biochemistry, pharmacy or biological chemistry. Applicants with other qualifications and relevant experience will be considered individually.

Course content

The programme provides an in-depth understanding of the sequence, structure and function of bio-molecules and the technology used to obtain such knowledge. This technology encompasses laboratory (DNA recombinant) techniques and computational skills needed for selecting, retrieving and storing information from publicly available biological databases.
Covering the following areas: Core Molecular Biology; Applied Bioinformatices; Computation 1: Computing, Programming and Databases; Computation 2: Basic Mathematics Statistics and Algorithms.

Information for international students

If English is not the 1st language, a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent will be required.
