This programme has been designed for clinicians working in practice who wish to undertake a substantial programme of individual research, whilst under the supervision of a clinical specialist. It has been designed to enable maximum flexibility and is further enhanced by the opportunity for participants to contribute to the final award using previous (recent) research. Participants have the opportunity to study a wide range of subject areas relevant to their clinical practice. The culmination of the programme will be in the thesis, in which participants must demonstrate a significant original contribution to clinical practice. The thesis is to be completed over a minimum of two years alongside any existing clinical commitment.
