Entry requirements

Entry requirements for this course are normally:

  • An Honours degree (2:2 or above) or an equivalent professional qualification.

For applicants whose first language or language of instruction is not English you will need to meet the minimum requirements of an English Language qualification. The minimum of IELTS 6.0 overall with no element lower than 5.5, will be considered acceptable, or equivalent.

You’ll focus on developing your professional knowledge and understanding of practice related to your own context. You’ll have the opportunity to gain research skills and reflective awareness. The course is flexible giving you the chance to select modules that match your areas of interest and create a course to fit your needs. A further key component is the ability to exchange and share learning with and from others; you’ll have ample opportunities to work with students from a wide range of disciplines and organisations.The course can help you progress into middle and senior management roles within a wide range of educational settings.

Titles of work undertaken by students on this course have included:
• An exploration of Nigerian and British teachers’ perception of the concept of creative teaching in secondary education.
• The political globalization and cultural globalization affecting higher education in China.

Fees and funding

n 2018/19 the full-time tuition fee for UK and EU postgraduate students on this course will be £6,500. Tuition fees will cover the cost of your study at the University as well as charges for registration, tuition, supervision and examinations.
