An Honours degree or equivalent in the following subjects: Electrical Engineering; Control Engineering; Mechanical Engineering; Systems Engineering or similar - or in a closely related science subject area such as physics or mathematics. If you have other qualifications and/or experience and can demonstrate that you are equipped with knowledge and skills equivalent to Honours degree level you are also encouraged to apply. For applicants whose first language or language of instruction is not English you will need to meet the minimum requirements of an English Language qualification. The minimum of IELTS 6.0 overall with no element lower than 5.5, will be considered acceptable, or equivalent.

If you are a graduate in engineering or a related science subject who wishes to progress to a technical project management position, then this is the course for you. It has been developed in consultation with industry and is supported by our internationally renowned expert staff and the state of the art facilities based in our Centre for Precision Technologies, widely regarded as the best facility of its type in the UK and one of the top three in Europe.
Our modern facilities include an impressive range of professionally equipped laboratories for control, electrical, electronic and communications projects. In addition, our computing laboratories are equipped with industry standard software for measurement and control and ‘computer aided engineering applications - all with high speed internet access.
With our support you will develop the practical skills and expert knowledge required to succeed in roles in technical design, development and project management in the areas of controls systems and instrumentation; improving your technical effectiveness and preparing you for roles in management.
