Entry requirements

Good Honours degree 2:2 or equivalent in a business or computing/IT-related subject. Other qualifications and/or experience that demonstrate appropriate knowledge and skills at an Honours degree level. Substantial (5+ years) relevant industry experience in a management role. If you are outside the UK: An appropriate IELTS (minimum 6.0) qualification is normally required for candidates with overseas status

Course content

This course has been developed in close consultation with employers to deliver the higher level, essential skills and knowledge needed for you to succeed in a role managing large-scale information systems. It will encourage you to reflect on the bigger picture of information systems management by taking a wider perspective on the strategic challenges that occur in a rapidly changing environment. By addressing the strategic challenges you will face in analysing, designing, implementing and maintaining information technologies, you will become equipped to identify and meet the information technology (IT) needs of individuals, organisations and society. You will develop the skills and expertise required to become an innovative problem solver who can bridge the gap between those focused on IT and those focused on business; a talent which is in high demand in the modern world.
